Where to buy ingredients

A dry powder avoids every storage problem a paste has. Dip a damp brush and go. Travel-proof and one of the cheapest recipes on the site.

Method

  1. 1

Combine the powders. Add the essential oil drop by drop while stirring so it spreads evenly. Sift once for a smooth mix.

How to use

  • Wet your brush, tap off the water, dip it in the powder and brush as normal.

Tips

  • Decant a week's worth into a tiny tin for travel.

Safety

  • Keep the jar dry — moisture causes clumping and mould.
  • This is not a fluoride toothpaste. If you're prone to cavities, ask your dentist what suits you.
  • Xylitol is toxic to dogs — store well out of reach of pets.
