Castile & lemon dishwashing liquid
Cuts grease, smells like a citrus grove.
Easy 10 min 500 ml Keeps 3 monthsCost $
Castile soap plus washing soda is the classic grease-cutting pair. Soap and hard water don't get along, so the washing soda softens the water and you get suds instead of scum.
Method
- 1
Dissolve the washing soda completely in the hot water.
- 2
Let it cool a little, then gently stir in the castile and glycerine — stirring hard makes foam.
- 3
Add the essential oil and bottle.
How to use
- A squirt into hot water. Less lather than shop liquid is normal — it still cleans.
- For baked-on pans, add a spoon of bicarb straight into the pan.
Tips
- Separated? Shake it. Thinner than shop liquid? That's expected.
Safety
- Keep out of reach of children.
