Soap can leave residue on nappies and cause itch for eczema-prone skin. This recipe uses less soap, more washing soda, and adds sodium percarbonate (oxygen bleach) for brightening without chlorine.
Method

Grate the soap, mix everything, store sealed.
How to use
- 2 tbsp per load in warm water (percarbonate activates best above 40 °C).
- Add an extra rinse cycle for nappies.
Safety
- Keep percarbonate away from children — it is an irritant in powder form.
