A concentrated soapnut decoction works as a liquid detergent, especially for lightly soiled everyday loads. Pair it with washing soda for heavy soil.
Method

Simmer soapnuts in water 25 minutes, crushing shells. Strain, stir in washing soda while warm. Bottle.
How to use
- 100 ml per load. Or skip the liquid and drop 5 whole soapnuts in a cotton bag into the drum — they last 4–6 washes.
